Seasonal Report
York High School awards ceremony.
Sunday June 6, 2010
Welcome to one of the favorite times of year here in Southern Maine.....early summer. And so far, we have been blessed with some wonderful weather. We do need some rain occasionally, but hoping we fare much better than last year's dreadful historically rainy June into July. It's so nice to see the beaches filling up, ice cream stands serving treats, cottages opening, and the happy attitude summer seems to foster.
The good news on interest rates.....right now 30 year fixed rates are below 5% for those buyers with decent credit. Now is still truly a great time to buy....remember though, not all sellers are desperate, but there are still some "deals" out there. It's true, real estate is still a solid investment in this area. And sellers, don't be discouraged or offended if an initial offer is lower than your liking.....this is the norm right now, but solid, consistent negotiations can eventually bring the transaction together!

Congratulations to all the recent and upcoming college and high school graduates (including my own son Kyle of YHS .....proud momma here!)
Happy summer 2010, Cindy
